We are more than happy to provide you the first edition of our SARAH project newsletter, which we are kindly inviting you to check out HERE.

The SARAH consortium is fully committed to Human Factor orientation and today is the kickstart of an online training on the topic that is provided by our project partner Työterveyslaitos – Finnish Institute of Occupational Health.
The training provides basic information on the Human Factor aspects of system performance and occupational safety in individual, work, group and organizational levels. The aim is to build a solid foundation for incorporating Human Factor considerations throughout the SARAH project and consists of expert-created videos and related learning assignments. The work is further enriched by a Human Factor toolkit with the first draft being already available and partner-specific coaching sessions and collaborative team workshops throughout the coming months.
Thanks a lot to all FIOH colleagues and looking forward to diving deeper into Human Factors and its implementation in SARAH.

Recently, Anna-Maria Teperi from FIOH was present in the Finnish Morning Show discussion important topics. In the midst of an increasingly complex and uncertain world, conversations about climate-related emotions and human resilience are more important than ever.
💎 Experiencing fear, worry, or anxiety in uncertain times is completely normal.
💎 Not everyone reacts in the same way — and whatever you feel is valid.
💎 Climate anxiety should not be medicalized. It’s not an individual disorder but a societal issue — and also an occupational safety concern.
💎 We can ease climate anxiety by making decisions that support environmental sustainability and by strengthening the resilience of industries and workplaces.
💎 Our own agency matters. Daily choices around food, mobility, and housing are powerful starting points.
💎 Workplaces hold enormous potential to transform production and services toward sustainability.

A group of passionate organisations, each thriving for innovation in their field of expertise and beyond!
Staytuned for the detailed partner presentations coming up during the next weeks!

🔸 Excited to share that our SARAH project researchers are gearing up to collect data on the future of human-technology interaction as the new innovative SARAH technologies are implemented.
🔸 In large international projects like these, where data collection requires traveling to other countries, ensuring successful data acquisition is crucial.
🔸To prepare, our SARAH researchers are conducting dry runs of modeling workshops in English within our team. This practice not only refines our modeling skills but also allows us to identify critical phases related to our own work, ensuring we are well-prepared for the challenges ahead.
🔸 Well done preparation is key to ensuring the project’s success.

With the project start on June 01 and the Kick-Off meeting taking place last week, we can say that the project has officially started 🤩.
It has been a great environment for discussing the needs from the demo sites, technologies developed by the partners supporting the human-centric approach of efficient and safe health monitoring of civil infrastructures.
🔸An important takeaway? We were confirming the complementarities already identified during proposal design!
🔸And there is no better place for a SARAH group picture than a funicular railway!
Thanks a lot to all participants to our Kick-Off Meeting for inspiring discussions, to CEA-Leti for hosting us and we are looking forward to the continuing exchange in this gerat project funded by European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA).

One of the first activities for a newly started EU funded project is to complete the project branding. During this process, we created this short video explaining the SARAH logo – and by this, giving an essence of the project.

The project SARAH is about to start and project preparations are at full speed towards the kick-off meeting taking place in Grenoble from 12th until 13th of June. To prepare this, the coordinator organized a KOM preparation meeting in Brussels, this week.
The meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss
🔸 Impact creation and maximizing the impact of SARAH; sharing the understanding that research is about creating new knowledge, while innovation is about creating value out of this knowledge
🔸 The implementation of our human-centric approach, essential both in the product design as well as in the operation of the product
🔸 Use of digitalization – metaverse – to improve operational efficiency
🔸 and many more …
Thanks a lot to all participants for the fruitful and amicable exchange and of course to Isabelle DOR and Nicolas Garraud from CEA-Leti for the initiative and kind hospitality.
Looking forward to the project start and the upcoming kick-off meeting – and of course to providing further updates here and on our website – coming soon
